Our Scout Troop with a number of adult helpers and young leaderst. Scouts meet on a Friday Evening, starting 19:00 and finishing at 21:00.

Scouts are the longest formed age group, founded in 1907 by Lord Baden-Powell, enjoying their first camp on Brownsea Island not long afterwards. It is even more popular today than it has ever been with the numbers of boys and girls joining Scouts increasing annually.

Our Scout section is lead by a variety of leaders and helpers, with the scouts enjoying an active programme including pioneering (building structures with wooden poles and rope), hiking, backwoods cooking (cooking on open fires), map reading, climbing, shooting and swimming and a more advanced level of first aid including CPR. They take part in regular camps both locally and much further afield.

Scouts are aged between 10 and 14 and during their time in scouts they have the opportunity to achieve their Cheif Scout Gold Award along with many other challenge badges.

Had a great Cub Camp here a couple of weeks ago. Facilities good although outdoor space needs a bit of a tidy. Excellent location for sea front activities.

We had a great stay in August, finding the facilities to be of a good standard and well priced. However, it'd've been useful to have a list of kitchen ware.
